Extreme Fun and Risks for Adrenaline Junkies in Orlando
If you’re looking for a travel destination that has something for everyone, then look no further than Orlando, Florida. Located in the central part of the state, Orlando is home to some of the world’s top tourist attractions.
The variety of entertainment the Orlando region offers is one of the reasons why 50 million people visit the area each year. From eco tours, to theme parks to luxury resorts, Orlando has entertainment choices available to fit every tourist’s interest and budget. Kicking back on vacation involves adventure, fine dining and often times alcohol for some. But vacation shouldn’t mean completely letting go of all of your inhibitions, when adrenaline, and not just alcohol, could land you in jail.
What to do in the Country’s Amusement Capital
The Orlando area is home to the nation’s special treasure, Walt Disney World. In addition to the “magic of Disney,” Universal Studios Orlando theme park also draws thousands of visitors a year.
But for those who thrive on high-adrenaline activities instead of the Teacup Ride, the Orlando area has several popular attractions, including:
1. The Exotic Driving Experience. This attraction allows you to fulfill your dream of becoming a speed-racer by placing you behind the wheel of an exotic high performance super car. A professional driving instructor in the passenger seat instructs you on how to drive two laps around a real racetrack.
2. Orlando Dream Adrenaline Rush. If you’re competitive yet willing to work with a team, this fast-paced activity is for you. Teams of 5-7 people are put together and compete in challenges on-foot or using bikes, canoes, and kayaks and even public transportation.
3. Thrill rides at amusement parks. lf you want to find out how the area got it’s nickname, “The Rollercoaster Capital of the World,” then try “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” ride at University Orlando Resort or the “Kraken” at SeaWorld Orlando.
The Downside of High-Adrenaline Activities
While you may enjoy fast and scary rides, research shows that adrenaline-raising activities have a negative impact on your body. For instance, getting off of a roller coaster can affect your equilibrium, causing dizziness and staggering around as if you had been overindulging in alcohol. The adrenaline “high” you get from driving a super car at top speed does not go away just because you step out of your car. You’re in “rush” mode for quite some time.
When you’re in this state, it’s important not to immediately get behind the wheel of your vehicle and leave the premises. Driving fast on Florida roads or driving while dizzy can get you pulled over by a police officer, who may think that you are driving drunk.
If you are stopped by police, stay calm and tell the officer how you developed your “amped mood.” Should the officer want to give you a sobriety test or cite you for drunk driving, be cooperative but vet out some Orlando DUI lawyers as soon as possible. You are now in serious legal trouble and need an attorney to provide a strong defense on your behalf.
Don’t let your good time in Orlando turn into a bad experience. Revel in the thrills and the fun, but in a safe and enjoyable way.
